Object Markers

Listed below are common object marker patterns used on roadways, but any pattern can be printed to suit your needs. Please contact Trafco Industries to place an order.

**Object markers can be ordered with or without a backing. Common backings include 0.080″ aluminum, 0.1″ aluminum or 0.040″ plastic.

Road object markers are traffic control devices used to mark obstructions within or adjacent to the roadway, helping drivers identify hazards and navigate safely, especially at night or in poor visibility.

Primary purpose:

They alert road users to physical objects that could pose a collision risk, such as:

• Bridge abutments or ends
• Guardrail terminals/end treatments
• Culvert headwalls or drainage structures
• Piers, poles or other fixed objects close to the road
• Islands or medians
• The end of a roadway (dead-end or no-through road)

These markers use reflective materials so they stand out when hit by vehicle headlights.
